Reviews for SINGER Inspiration 4228 Sewing Machine (Kitchen) This is the second sewing machine I have owned. And it is not worth the money. The first time I used it, it jammed. I rethreaded it, started a simple hem, and the bobbin case broke. It is made out of plastic. There was a snapping sound and it actually hit the plastic cover above it. I stopped the machine, removed the plastic cover and found the bobbin case had snapped, it was no longer attached to the machine. DON'T buy this one.
Reviews for SINGER Inspiration 4228 Sewing Machine (Kitchen) I bought this machine yesterday. It was so easy to use that within minutes we had threaded it and started sewing. Indeed, I was quite happy until today (a day later) when the bobbin thread started bunching. Within minutes the machine stopped stitching completely!! (The needle thread just won't pick up the bobbin thread at all!!) I telephoned the store and they think it may need timing adjustments!!! Will be returning it in the morning for a complete refund. Am thinking of getting a Brother instead.
